Our Story
RentAsset Initiatives is an equipment rental company that takes an interest in the residual life of the assets that it rents out to its various corporate clients. Across a gamut of industries and asset classes, RentAsset is committed to providing a solutions-based funding structure that completely fits the client's requirements. We can help corporates acquire new assets for their use, or even purchase and rent back existing equipment to them as a cash flow solution.
Management
RentAsset was conceptualised and started by Mr. Boman J. Yezdani and Mr. R.Satish Kumar, two professionals with a combined experience of over 40 years in the finance industry primarily dealing with debt syndications, lease structuring, and investment banking.
Boman and Satish have been colleagues since 1998. They both started working together at Centrum Capital Limited, a mid-sized IB firm, where they worked across various product offerings in the financial markets, covering the entire gamut of finance transactions – debt and equity, primary and secondary, private and public. Between them, they have worked on syndication assignments grossing over Rs.40,000 crores.
Boman J Yezdani
Director
Boman started his career at Centrum Capital Limited, where he was recruited directly from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune. Boman has always been located at the Head Office, where he worked across a gamut of product offerings like primary and secondary bonds, lease syndication, and credit syndication. In 2007 he was heading the entire debt business at Centrum, with a focus on origination and execution, reporting directly to the Managing Director.
In 2007, Boman moved over to Centrum’s fledgling PE practice, with a special focus on Media & Entertainment, Hospitality, Real Estate and Financial Services. Boman has completed his B.Sc. (Mathematics) from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, and MBA (Finance) from SIBM, Pune. In his spare time, he likes to read, watch movies, and listen to music. He is an avid swimmer, and has completed his open water SCUBA certification.
R Satish Kumar
Director
Satish started his career, post his MBA in structured trade finance products that bundled into a securitized asset and whose pass through certificates were retailed, perhaps the only one of its kind in India. Subsequently, he joined Centrum Capital Ltd and helped it build and consolidate its south India operations in Investment Banking and Structured Finance before moving to lead the Capital Markets Team. He has successfully managed marquee and innovative transactions at Centrum including the country’s first Price Floating Convertible Debentures, one of the earliest Inverse Floaters, a unique Equity linked debenture through a Rights Issue etc. Satish likes to play badminton and read books in his spare time, and is an avid quizzer.

Non-Executive Director
Mr. M. A. Alagappan is one of the leading industrialists of the country, and head of the Murugappa Group. He served as an Executive Chairman of Murugappa Group Ltd from October 2006 to October 31, 2009. He served as the Managing Director of Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company Ltd. from 1994 to 1999. He served as Chairman of Tube Investments of India Limited until November 1, 2006, Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company Ltd. from April 25, 2008 to July 28, 2010 and Coromandel Engineering Company Limited from May 2004 to October 25, 2006. He served as the Chairman of Parry Agro Industries, Ltd., from 1996 to 2002. He serves as a Non-Executive Independent Director of AVT Natural Products Limited. He served as a Director of Carborundum Universal Limited from August 22, 2006 to January 27, 2007. He is a Committee Member of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and Southern India Chambers of Commerce and Industry (SICCI). Mr. Alagappan holds a Degree in Commerce and a Management graduate from the University of Aston U. K. and Honorary Doctorate from Birmingham City University, UK.
